Afghan Coal

Afghanistan is reported to have coal reserves totaling 100-400 million tons. These mines are located from Badakhshan and extend up to Herat Province. The country has more than 11 coal reserves. The coal is generally low in Ash and Sulphur and have a medium volatile matter and moisture. It is exported in different sizes which includes 0-50, 5-15, 10-25. It is mostly above 6,000/Kcal/kg.

A good quality high calorific value coal has been found in and around Chamalang – Bala Dhaka, Lunda, Surghari, Nosham and Bahlol areas in Loralai, Barkhan and Kohlu districts of Balochistan.

KPK Dara Coal

It is rich with high-quality coal with the highest rate of extraction in Pakistan. Coal is the main business in the area. More than 80% of the local population are directly involved in the coal business. The coal business is entirely in private hands, although only individuals and not companies are the owners.

South African Coal

South Africa coal is classified as RB 1 and RB 2 (RB ) stand for = Richards Bay) coal.

It is very soft coal with less sulphuric contents. For steam generation it is one of the best product

The classification of RB product is as a result of the globalCoal platform that was commercialised in 2000, which is essentially an over-the–counter (OTC) platform. In general this is also referred to an A-grade product.

Indonesian Coal

Indonesian coals are generally low in ash and sulphur, but on account of their low rank, they have a high content of volatile matter and moisture. The run-of-mine coal does not generally require preparation and simple crushing and screening suffices to produce a marketable product.
